Hunter's Bryan Suertegaray Nets Goal Against Brooklyn

Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Hunter College men's soccer team fell 4-1 on Wednesday, Septemper 25th to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College in their second CUNYAC game of the season. Freshman Hawk Bryan Suertegaray netted his first goal of the season in the second half, providing Hunter's lone goal of the game.  With the loss, the Hawks fall to 0-10, 0-2 CUNYAC while the Bulldogs improve to 5-3, 2-0 CUNYAC.

The Bulldogs had an early edge in the first half, with Igor Pacca scoring in the 11th minute assisted by Dimitry Prokofyev.  Prokofyev would go on to score Brooklyn's second goal of the game at minute 31 as he headed a ball that deflected off the crossbar, giving his team a demanding 2-0 lead at half time.

Brooklyn used the momemtum from the first half to gain a 3-0 advantage with 29:54 left in the game with Oleg Tykhonravov scoring on an assist from Kenny Benitez. 

Hunter would attempt to cut Brooklyn's lead with Suertegaray scoring on loose ball at minute 75, but the Bulldogs deemed too strong as Tykhonravov scored in the final minutes of the game, giving his team a deciding 4-1 win over the Hawks.

Hunter was out shot 8-22, with 5 being on goal compared to the Bulldogs 12. 

The Hawks are back on the field on Wednesday, October 2nd when they play host to the Cougars of Medgar Evers.
