Brooklyn, N.Y – The women's basketball team fell to the Brooklyn Bulldogs on Wednesday night, 55-61. With the loss, the Hawks fall to 6-10, 3-4 CUNYAC while the Bulldogs improve to 10-4, 5-2 CUNYAC.
After trading baskets for most of the first half, the Hawks only trailed by four at half time. Brooklyn was able to hold their lead in the second half, with their biggest lead being nine.
Nicole Lenard led all scorers with 18 points, while adding four rebounds.
Kristen Markoe netted 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Dimitra Thomopoulos scored nine points.
The Bulldogs were led by T'Keyah Francis, who had a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds. Nacirema Mann and Carissa Williams both scored 12 points for Brooklyn.
The Hawks are back in the court on Friday, January 17
th when they compete against the Dolphins of CSI.
