New York, N.Y – The women's basketball team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay 70-61 on Wednesday night. With the win, the Hawks improve to 9-11, 6-5 CUNYAC while the Bloodhounds drop to 6-12, 4-6 CUNYAC.

The Hawks were down by as many as eight points in the first half, but gradually were able to tie it up and go into half time only down by two points.  Hunter then roared back in the second half, going on a 15-0 run to give themselves a comfortable lead that they would maintain the rest of the game.

Nicole Lenard led the Hawks netting 20 points and grabbing seven boards. Kristen Sells scored 15 points while Kristen Markoe scored 11.
