New York, N.Y – The women's basketball team fresh off winter break dropped a tough 63-61 decision to the Beavers of CCNY on Saturday, January 4^th. With the loss, the Hawks drop to 5-7, 2-3 CUNYAC while the Beavers improve to 3-6, 2-3 CUNYAC.

Kristen Markoe netted a game high of 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists while Nicole Lenard was right behind her with 15 points, six rebounds, and six assists.  Joey Chan chipped in with 12 points while Dimitra Krissi Thomopoulos scored seven points and grabbed 11 boards.

CCNY was led by Karissa Core who scored 14 points. Latoya Lee hit a game-winning three pointer in the final 20 seconds of the game to lift the Beavers over the Hawks.

The Hawks are back in action on Tuesday, January 7^th when they compete against the Violets of NYU.
