New York, N.Y - The Hunter Hawks women's basketball team lost 95-58 to New York University on Tuesday night at the Hunter College Sportsplex. 

The Hawks (5-8, 2-3) lost their 2^nd consecutive game in 2014, after winning three straight to end 2013. Senior Kristen Markoe led the Hawks with a game-high 15 points, while grabbing six rebounds. Kristin Sells chipped in with 12 points, while Kerrin Sells had 11 and Nicole Lenard had 10.

Markoe has scored in double figures in all 10 games she's played in this season. Kerrin Sells 11 points were a season-high.

The Violets (11-0) had five players in double figures, led by Kaitlyn Read's 14 points. Megan Dawe and Lindsey Oldshue each scored 13.

The Hawks return to action Friday, January 10^th when they take on CUNY rival York College. Tip-off is at 5pm.
