Men's Soccer Falls 3-0 To CCNY

BOX SCORE

NEW YORK, NY - The Hunter Hawks took on CUNYAC foe CCNY Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island field #70. The Hawks lost to the Beavers 3-0, falling to 1-3 in CUNYAC play.

The Hawks started the first half aggressively testing the Beavers keeper early with two shots by Irwing Forbes, one a header that went wide right and the other a shot that forced the keeper into making a save.

The Beavers would get on the board in the 28' when Edwards Ames buried a free kick from 20 yards out that beat the Hawk keeper high and to the right.

The Hawks outshot the Beavers six to four in the first half, forcing their keeper into four saves.

In the second half, the Beavers were able to control the tempo not allowing the Hawks offense to get into form but they battled and had two chances to equalize but each shot went wide of the net.

CCNY was able to breakdown the defense in the 85' on a goal by Anthony Scarallo. Three minutes later with the Hawks pushing forward, their defense became over extended and Cesar Bullon put away another one to make it 3-0.

The Hawks return to action Friday afternoon when they travel to Brooklyn to take on CUNYAC foe Medgar Evers.
