Jamaica, N.Y – The women's basketball team defeated the Cardinals of York College on Tuesday night 83-59, ending their regular season play. With the win, the Hawks go into the CUNYAC Tournament with a 13-12, 10-6 record while the Cardinals go in with a 3-22, 2-14 record.

The Hawks were up by as much as 14 points only eight minutes into the first half, with their biggest lead of the night being up 29 points after a free throw from Joey Chan with four minutes remaining in regulation. Hunter shot 50% from the floor compared to York's 31%.

Kristen Markoe led her team with a double-double of 18 points and 13 boards. Nicole Lenard followed suit with 15 points and eight assists, while Kristen Sells added 10 points.

The Hawks are back in action February 23^rd when they compete in the CUNYAC Quarter-Finals.
