BOX SCORE NEW PALTZ, NY – The Hunter Men's soccer took on SUNY New Paltz in a battle of the Hawks. The New Paltz Hawks defeated the Hunter Hawks 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
New Paltz jumped out to a 2-0 lead 25' into the game thanks to goals from Jason Gonzalez and Jon Pugach.
Hunter would get one back in the 31' when
Rocky Marin found
Brandon Fiscina who netted his 3
rd goal of the week to make it 2-1.
"Our effort has been getting each game," said head coach
John Sanchez. "We are still making that one mistake that costs us our shot at winning the game."
New Paltz would score two more goals in the 2
nd half thanks to Tucker Stern and Gino Scardino.
The Hunter Hawks return to action on Wednesday evening when they will take on NYU at 5pm.
