BOX SCORE MAHWAH, NJ – The Hunter women's basketball team ended their three game losing streak with a 47-36 victory over Ramapo College on Monday night in a non-conference matchup. The Hawks improve to 6-11 on the season.
The Hawks led with defense and timely scoring. They held Ramapo to 24% shooting from the field and forced 20 turnovers on the night.
The offense was supplied by
Kristen Markoe and
Ayanna Hudson who both scored 16 points. Markoe added in 16 rebounds, her 11
th double-double on the season. Hudson had a very efficient game shooting 7-of-10 from the field.
The Hawks never trailed the entire game with their largest lead being 11 points mid-way through the first half.
The Hawks return to action Wednesday when they will host CUNYAC foe College of Staten Island. Tip-off is scheduled for 5pm.
