New York, NY - Hunter College men's soccer went 0-2 on the week, falling to New Paltz on Wednesday and Baruch College on Saturday.
The losses give the Hawks a 5-9 overall record as they fall to 2-4 in conference play.
The game against New Paltz was a battle as Hunter struck first, but eventually lost with a score of 2-1. Patrick Gurung scored the Hawks' lone goal at the 16:52 minute mark in the first half to give Hunter a 1-0 lead.
New Paltz would tie the game in the second with a goal of their own and then take the lead in the last ten minutes of regulation to win, 2-1. Hunter took four shots in the loss, compared to New Paltz's 13 shots.
On Saturday, Hunter kept the game against Baruch close until the 50:00 minute mark when the Bearcats notched the first goal of the game to take a lead. Baruch would score again the last 20 minutes to get the win 2-0.
Hunter returns to action when they take on Medgar Evers College today at 6 p.m. in Brooklyn, NY.
