Brooklyn, NY – The men's soccer team stormed to a tremendous 12-0 rout of Medgar Evers College on Monday night in a CUNYAC matchup. Five goals in the first, followed by seven in the second highlighted the one-sided affair and move the Hawks to 6-9 overall, 3-4 in CUNYAC play.
The Purple and Gold wasted no time getting on the scoreboard early on. In the eighth minute,
Bryan Suertegaray scored the first of his three goals on the night on an assist from
Diego Cisneros. Less than seven minutes later,
Aristofanis Ioannidis made it a 2-0 game with
Rafael Montoya being credit with the assist. Before the half was over,
Brian Cespedes, Suertegaray and
Jacob Gorodetsky each added a goal to their stats to give the Hawks an impressive 5-0 advantage.

John Sanchez's men did not stop there. Their offense continued their assault with another seven goals in the half.
William Benitez,
Carlos Aspiazu and Gorodetsky each chipped in with two goals a piece while Suertegaray earned the hat-trick.
When all was said and done, Suertegaray ended with three goals and one assist, Benitez and Aspiazu had two goals each, Cisneros earned three assists and Montoya was credited with one helper. The Hawk's keeper
Garrett Babbitt logged the shutout and got help from the defense as they held the hosts shot-less. Hunter took 39 shots and had six corner kicks.
