BOX SCORE NEW YORK, NY - The Hunter women's basketball team lost on Tuesday night 70-44 to Baruch College in the CUNYAC semifinals. The Hawks finish the season with an 11-16 record.

The Hawks fell behind early on in the first half but would get to within in one point after a Kristen Markoe corner 3-pointer.

The Bearcats would begin to pull away as they would score eight straight points to take a 14-5 lead with just over 14 minutes left in the first half.

The Hawks offense struggled to find rythm for the remainder of the half, as the Bearcats would pull ahead to take an 18 point lead with 1:30 remaining.

Back-to-back layups by Joey Chan would make the score 35-21 at halftime.

In the second half the Bearcats continued to apply pressure and hold down the Hawks on the offensive end. The Bearcats used a 15-7 run during the first 10 minutes of the half to take a 22 point lead.

The Hawks were unable to get the offense going in the second half shooting 16% from the field.

Chan would lead the Hawks with 15 points and five rebounds, while Dimitra Thomopoulos chipped in with 14 points and nine rebounds. Kristen Markoe added nine points and 12 rebounds.
