BOX SCORE BROOKLYN, NY - The Hunter women's basketball team won their third straight game with a 72-42 victory over Megar Evers College on Tuesday night. The Hawks improve to 9-13 overall and 6-7 in CUNYAC play.

The Hawks used their strong offense and stellar defense to take control of the game from the Cougars in the first half. The Hawks held the Cougars to 25% shooting en route to a 33-21 halftime lead.

The Hawks continued to apply the pressure on the offensive end and defensive end. Their lead would swell to as large as 34 points.

CUNYAC Player of the Week Kristen Markoe notched her 14th double double of the season going for 22 points and 13 rebounds. Ashley Yu had a career high 16 points. Dimitra Thomopoulos netted a double double as well going for 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hawks return to action Friday when they will host CUNYAC foe Brooklyn College at the Sportsplex. Tip-off is scheduled for 5pm.
