New York, NY - Hunter College soccer dominated SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday, scoring seven goals to shut out the Tigers, 7-0.
Freshman
Jacob Gorodetsky started it out for the Hawks by scoring a goal just one minute into the game with
William Benitez earning the assist. Just one and a half minutes late Hunter struck again as
Bryan Suertegaray netted a goal from
Diego Cisneros off a corner kick.
Brandon Fiscina would finish off the first half for the Hawks by finding a goal at the 21:58 minute mark to give Hunter a 3-0 lead at halftime.
The Hawks came out in the second half on fire, scoring a goal three minutes in from
Carlos Aspiazu and then earning a second goal three minutes later from Fiscina for 5-0 lead.
Rafael Montoya wrapped up the game with two-straight goals, chipping in his second goal of the day just under the crossbar to give the Hawks the 7-0 win.
Fiscina led the team with two goals and four shots on goal in 27 minutes of play, while Montoya also tallied two goals in the shut out. Benitez earned two assists to lead Hunter, as Cisneros, Suertegaray, Aspiazu,
Stalin Llivichuzhca and
Jacob Manna each added an assist.
The Hawks recorded 27 shots as a team to SUNY Cobleskill's one.
Hunter College returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for a 4 p.m. game at College of Mount Saint Vincent.
