New York, NY – The Hunter College women's tennis team embarked on their fall 2015 schedule today with a non-conference matchup against the Roadrunners of Ramapo College. The Purple and Gold only managed to snag a single win in both the singles and doubles and fell by a score of 7-2. With the loss, they slip to 0-1 while the Roadrunners move to 1-0.
 
The duo of Julia Vranas and Olivia Funh out-played Ramapo's top doubles team of Carly Agrifolio and Sabrina Koropchak by a score of 8-3 to earn the only win for the Hawks in doubles.
 
Funh also made quick work of Kadyer-Akhunova at second singles, 6-0, 6-2 to give Hunter their second victory.
 
The Hawks return to action on Saturday, September 5 when they travel to Union, NJ for a matchup against Kean University at 11am.
