Brooklyn, NY - Hunter College men's soccer shut out York College on Saturday to get its first conference win with a score of 3-0.
The Hawks are now 1-1 in CUNYAC play after falling to John Jay College last week.
Hunter would strike almost immediately as
Aiden Tucker scored a goal just three minutes into the game off a corner kick from
Diego Cisneros. The goal would be Tucker's third of the season.
The Hawks would score again just eight minutes later when
Brandon Fiscina beat a defender and took a long shot to make the score 2-0 early in the game.
Mostafa Mosbah was credited with the assist for Hunter.
The Hawks would take seven more shots in the first half but would not convert, holding the no goals in the first.
The second half would feature several shots from the Hawks but they would not net another goal until the 83:37 minute mark as
Kamal Chhetri scored from Cisneros to close out the game with a score of 3-0.
Hunter goalkeeper
Garrett Babbitt notched two saves in the game, while Hunter recorded 25 shots to York's five.
The team will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30 when they travel to Brooklyn College for a 4 p.m. game.
