BOX SCORE New York, NY - Hunter College men's soccer defeated Brooklyn College on Saturday afternoon, holding off the Bulldogs with a score of 1-0.
With the win the Hawks improve to 8-6-1 overall and 6-2 in the conference. They are currently in first-place in the CUNYAC standings.
The Purple and Gold scored in the first half in the 35th minute as
Brandon Fiscina tipped the ball into the net from in front of the center of the goal. They mananged to hold off the Bulldogs for the rest of the game, preventing them from equalizing the score to get the 1-0 victory.
The Hawks outscored Brooklyn 13-7 as Hunter found shots from
Mostafa Mosbah,
Aristofanis Ioannidis,
Itamar Pereira,
Jesus Patino Muniz,
Arman Zamanzadeh,
John Bautista and Fiscina.
Bryan Suertegaray spent most of the time in goal for Hunter, recording four saves for the Hawks.
The team returns to action on Wednesday in their last regular-season game when they host College of Mount Saint Vincent.
