Staten Island, NY - The Hawks dropped a 1-0 contest to CUNYAC foe Staten Island last night after the Dolphins registered a goal in the last minute of the game. The loss sets the Purple and Gold's record to 6-5-1, 4-2-0 CUNYAC while the Dolphins move to 7-4-2, 4-1-1 CUNYAC.
Hunter was out-shot over the course of the game, registering just five shots with two of them were on goal while their counterparts tallied 14 total shots with four of them on the mark.
Aristofanis Ioannidis and
Adam Pine had the only shots that were recorded on goal but were met with saves from CSI keeper Jake Foeldes.
Paul Alain Yovoh Tenfoung was solid in net for Hunter as he was credited with three saves on the evening before allowing one to get by him in the 90th minute. The lone goal by Adrian Cosovic, assisted from Ali Fares came at the 89:22 mark and allowed CSI to steal the victory.
Up next, the Hawks look to get back on track when they host CUNYAC rival York College on Saturday, October 8 at noon on Randall's Island.
