BOX SCORE New York, NY - Hunter College women's basketball dropped a game against Rutgers University-Camden on Friday afternoon with a score of 77-63.

The Hawks are now 7-4 this season and remain 3-1 in conference play.

Poor shooting by the Purple and Gold in the first half gave the Raptors the 40-26 lead at halftime as Hunter shot 10-35 from the floor for a 28.6 field goal percentage. Rutgers-Camden was consistent from the floor, shooting 58.6 percent in the first two quarters.

Christine Patterson led the team with eight points at halftime, while Selina Lim followed with seven.

Lim and Jade Aponte opened up the third quarter with two three-pointers to help cut Rutgers-Camden's lead to just ten points, but the team struggled to stop the Raptors defensively, eventually trailing by 15 at the end of the quarter.

Aponte converted on another shot from behind the arc to start the fourth and Ashley Arias followed that up with two points of her own to spark a Hunter run. The Raptors responded by continuing to hit shots, never letting the Hawks within less than 10 points for the rest of the game and getting the victory 77-63.

Lim led the team with 15 points, while Patterson and Aponte followed with ten each. Arias was two points away from her fourth-straight double-double, recording eight points and a team-high 13 rebounds. 

The Hawks finished the game with a 33.8 field goal percentage, while the Raptors posted a 51.7 percentage.

The team returns to action on January 3 when they travel to Mount Saint Vincent for a 1 p.m. game.
