BOX SCORE New York, NY - Hunter College men's soccer got a win in its first conference game of the year, defeating John Jay College on Saturday with a score of 1-0.
The Hawks are now 3-3-1 this year and have started out CUNYAC play 1-0.
The Purple and Gold got a goal at the 48th minute of the game as
Bryan Suertegaray found
Daniel Kisel in the box, who then headed the ball into the goal. The Bloodhounds were unable to match the goal, allowing Hunter to get the victory.
Brandon Fiscina and
Jacob Gorodetsky each recorded three shots in the game, while
Aristofanis Ioannidis,
Carlos Aspiazu,
Nico Sirena,
John Bautista,
Adam Pine and
Deklon Soodoo each contributed at least on shot.Â
Goalkeeper Paul Tenfoung tallied one save as the Hawks held John Jay to just four shots in the game.
The team returns to action on September 21 when they travel to Baruch College.
