BOX SCORE Bronx, NY - Hunter College women's basketball fell to fourth-place Lehman College on Monday night with a score of 69-60.
The Hawks are now 4-2 in CUNYAC play and sit at fifth in the conference standings.
Trailing by just three points at halftime, the Hawks came out in the second half with 50.0 percent accuaracy from the field. The Purple and Gold hit 11 shots, including
Jade Aponte shooting 3-3 from behind the arc to stay close to the Lightning.
Despite the success from the floor, Hunter recorded 13 turnovers and the Lightning hit three more field goals to contribute to the Hawk's 69-60 loss.
Aponte led the team for the fourth-straight game with 17 points, while
Theresa Leung followed with 13, while dishing out six assists.
Ashley Arias added a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds in the loss.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 10 when they host the College of Staten Island at 5 p.m.
