Flushing, N.Y. - Hunter College women's tennis fell in a conference match to Baruch College on Saturday, dropping the match with a score of 8-1.
The Hawks fall to 1-6 this season and 1-3 in CUNYAC play.
The team was defeated in all three matches in doubles play to start the day. The team of
Ashley Rosemond and
Tabitha Doris came closest to a victory, but fell 8-4 at the No. 3 court.
In singles the Purple and Gold would not get a victory until Rosemond defeated her opponent in an exciting close match with scores of 3-6, 6-2 and 10-7 at the No. 6 spot.
The Hawks return to the courts on October 11 when they host Brooklyn College at 3:30 p.m.
