BOX SCORE New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer dropped a game to Kean University on Friday evening, falling with a final score of 4-0.
The Hawks drop to 3-10 this season and remain 3-4 in CUNYAC play.
The Cougars struck immediately, scoring a goal just two minutes into the game to take the early lead. Kean scored twice more in the first half to lead 3-0 at the half. The Hawks struggled to find shots in the first 45 minutes, recording just four to the Cougar's 16.
The Cougars solidified their lead with another goal at the 60:01 minute mark to take the game, 4-0. The Purple and Gold were held to just one shot in the second half.
Daniel Pesantes recorded two shots in the loss, while
Liron Muriqi,
Aristofanis Ioannidis and
Lorenzo Davies each recorded one. Goalkeeper
Paul Alain Yovoh Tenfoung registered 16 saves.
The Hawks return to the field on October 12 when they travel to the College at Old Westbury for a 4 p.m. game.
