New York, NY - Hunter College men's basketball fell on Monday night to Lehman College, 82-64.

The Hawks end the regular season with a 8-17 record, while going 6-10 in CUNYAC play. The team finished sixth in the conference standings.

The first half was close as it featured 14 lead changes. Hunter got the first lead of the game and kept it until 16:34 minute mark when Lehman hit their second three-pointer. The Lightning then took a four-point lead with 11 minutes to play, but Hunter's Gio Gabbidon hit a layup and Danny Fusco scored a three-pointer to take back control of the score.

With the score tied at 33 at the 3:51 minute mark, the Lightning outscored the Hawks 7-3 to go into the locker room with a 40-36 edge. Matt Franks led the Hawks with 14 points in the first half.

In the second half the Purple and Gold were unable to take back the lead as Lehman went up by 17 with 10:23 left in regulation. Points from Fusco, Mamadou Sakho and Lowell Stevens contributed to a Hunter run to cut the Lightning's lead to just ten with six minutes to play. Lehman responded by not allowing the Hawks to score again until the one minute mark, taking the game, 82-64. 

Franks and Fusco each finished with 18 points apiece as Fusco went 4-6 from behind the arc. Amer Lukac followed with 12 points and eight rebounds while the team shot 40.0 percent from the floor in the loss.
