BOX SCORE New York, NY - Hunter College women's basketball came back from a 16 point deficit in the fourth quarter but eventually fell to Baruch College on Tuesday night, 68-64.

The Hawks drop to 11-12 overall this season and 7-7 in the conference.

Hunter trailed by just four points at halftime with Selina Lim leading the team with seven points. 

The Hawks cut the Bearcat's lead to just three points in the third quarter but then Baruch went on a run, making the score 49-38 going into the fourth. Hunter struggled to stop Baruch's scoring in the last ten minutes of the game as the Bearcats led by as much as 16 points with 2:20 to play in the game. 

From there the Purple and Gold began their comeback, sparked by a three-pointer from Theresa Leung. Back to back three's from Lim and Leung helped the Hawks trail by just five with 22 seconds left in the game. After two missed Baruch free throws Leung hit a huge shot from behind the arc to make the score 66-64 at the 12 second mark, but Baruch finished it out on free throws, taking the game 68-64.

Leung led with 17 points, including four three-pointers, three steals and three assists. Jade Aponte followed with 12 points, while Ashley Arias and Lim each chipped in ten. Widly Couloute led the Hawks on the boards with 13 rebounds.

The team returns to action on Feb. 10 when they travel to The City College of New York at 5 p.m.
