New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer recorded a 0-0 draw against St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon at Randall's Island.
The Hawks make their record 0-5-1 after today, while the Bears move to 0-2-1.
Neither team could find a goal in the 90 minutes of regulation, plus two ten-minute overtime sessions to get a tie. There were limited shot attempts as the Bears outshot the Hawks 9-4 and Hunter recorded three shots on goal.
Mikey Tzanetatos led the fight with two shot attempts in the game, the first being at the end of the first half and the second in the opening minutes of the first overtime. Both resulted in saves for St. Joseph's as the Purple and Gold struggled to get the ball into the net.
Lorenzo Davies and
Esteban Correa tallied the other two shot attempts for the Hawks, while Hunter goalkeeper
Paul Alain Yovoh Tenfoung recorded three saves during his 110 minutes in goal.
The Bears managed seven corner kicks to Hunter's three.
The team returns to action on Saturday, September 16 when they host John Jay College at 12 p.m.
