New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer fell in their second-straight conference game on Wednesday, taking a loss to Baruch College with a score of 2-0 at Randall's Island.
The Hawks drop to 0-7-1, while the Bearcats improve to 4-2 this season.
Hunter had a hard-fought game, holding the Bearcats to just four shots in the first half and a tied score of 0-0 at halftime.
Michael Merlo,
Adam Pine and
Itamar Pereira each recorded shots, but could not convert on a goal.
In the second half, Baruch found a goal just seven minutes in as Christian Munich made the score 1-0.
Merlo's second attempt was wide at the 58:32 minute mark as the Hawks struggled to record a goal. The Bearcats took advantage by scoring again with 15 minutes to play off of a fastbreak.
The Hawks would not catch up in the remaining time as they fell in the CUNYAC match, 2-0.
Baruch registered nine shots to Hunter's seven, while the Hawks added four corner kicks in the loss. Hunter goalkeeper

The team returns to action on Saturday when they host Lehman College at 12 p.m.
