BOX SCORE New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer continues to look for the first win of the season after falling to Lehman College on Saturday with a score of 1-0.
The Hawks drop to 0-8-1 this season while the Lightning has improved to 5-2.
Hunter started the game strong, recording three shots in the first ten minutes from
Aristofanis Ioannidis and
Esteban Correa that were saved by the Lightning goalkeeper.
The Lightning tallied two shots until they connected in the 27th minute, finding the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead.
The second half continued the same as the Hawks registered five shots to Lehman's three, but could not convert on a goal. The Hawks fell with a score of 1-0 to drop to 0-3 in CUNYAC play this season.
Hunter recorded nine shots in the game Correa leading the team with three.
Jesus Patino Muniz followed with two shots, while goalkeeper
Noah Dougherty notched three saves.
The team returns to action on September 27 when they travel to Medgar Evers College.
