Mahwah, N.J. - Hunter College women's tennis dropped its fourth-straight match on Friday in an 8-1 loss to Ramapo College.
The Hawks are now 0-4 this season and 0-1 in CUNYAC play.
The Purple and Gold went into singles competition down after failing to win a match in doubles. The No. 1 duo of
Maria Kogarova and
Angelica Rozenfeld came close to defeating their Roadrunner opponents, eventually falling with a score of 8-6.
The Roadrunners topped the Hawks in all but one singles match as
Elaine Zhang took down her opponent at the No. 5 court with scores of 6-4 and 6-0. This was Zhang's second win so far this season.
The team returns to action on September 27 when they travel to York College for a 3:30 p.m. match.
