New York, N.Y. - Hunter College women's basketball fell to the College of Staten Island on Saturday afternoon with a score of 67-51 at the Hunter Sportsplex.
The Hawks are now 12-4 overall this season and 5-2 in CUNYACÂ play. The Dolphins improved to 13-2 and 7-0 in the conference with the victory.
Hunter trailed by just two points at halftime, but began to fade away in the fourth quarter as the Dolphins hit shots.Â
The Purple and Gold shot 32.2 percent (20-62) from the floor, while CSI recorded a 38.3 field goal percentage. The Hawks recorded 28 turnovers and were out-rebounded 45-39.
Christine Patterson led the team with 16 points and eight rebounds and
Janine Conway followed with 10 points.
Maya Thompson tallied a team-high 10 rebounds in the loss.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday, January 17 when they host Baruch College.
