New York, N.Y. - Hunter College women's basketball took down Medgar Evers College on Saturday afternoon with a score of 89-31 at the Hunter Sportsplex.
The Hawks improved their overall record to 15-5 and are now 8-3 in CUNYAC play.
12 players found playing time for the Hawks in the victory as the team shot 47.4 percent from the floor. They scored 66 points off the bench, while forcing 35 Cougar turnovers. The Purple and Gold posted 40 points off turnovers.Â
Jade Aponte led the team with 15 points, followed by Theresea Leung's 13 and
Ashley Arias' 10 points.
Phoebe Valenton recorded a team-high seven assists.
The team returns to action on Saturday, February 3 when they travel to York College for a 1 p.m. game.
