New York, NY – The City University of New York Athletic Conference has released the seeds for the Women's Basketball Conference Championship Tournament earlier today to reveal Hunter as the #4 seed.
The conference tournament features the top-six teams in the league while the top-two teams each earn a buy into the semifinals. With a 14-2 conference mark, Brooklyn snagged the #1 seed with Staten Island sitting at #2 thanks to their 13-3 CUNYAC record. Lehman just edged Hunter for the #3 spot by one game while the Hawks sit at #4 with a 10-6 CUNYAC record. CCNY and Baruch round out #5 and #6.
The Purple and Gold host CCNY in the opening round on Sunday, February 18
th in the Sportsplex at 1pm. The winner moves on to face top seeded Brooklyn College on Wednesday, February 21
st at 6pm.
Lehman hosts Baruch in the other first round game. The winner will face Staten Island at 8pm on the 21
st. The Championship game will be on Friday, February 23
rd at 6pm. CCNY is the host site for both semifinals and finals.
