New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's volleyball went 1-1 at the Hunter tri-match on Saturday, defeating SUNY Purchase before falling to #2 ranked Kean University at the Sportsplex.
The Hawks are now 15-9 overall this season.

The Hawks started the day with the win over the Panthers, sweeping them with scores of 25-8, 25-11 and 25-15.
Michael Jazgarski led the team on defense with nine kills in the victory, while
Blake Hogan and
Benjamin Cassidy followed with five each.
Alec Helford and
Daniel Valdez split time at the setter position, posting 13 and 12 assists, respectively. Joe Muir and Hogan registered seven digs each in the match for a team-high.

The Purple and Gold fell to the Cougars later in the day in a three set match featuring scores of 25-20, 25-18 and 25-22.
Qendrim Shala led with eight kills as Cassidy followed with seven and .300 hitting percentage. Muir posted a team-high 10 digs and Helford added 26 assists in the loss.
The squad returns to the court on Tuesday when they travel to CUNYAC foe Baruch for a 6 p.m. match.
