Dallas, PA. - Hunter College men's volleyball had a solid day at Misericordia University on Thursday, defeating Fontbonne University before getting a win over the Cougars.

Joseph Muir hit a milestone by recording his 1,000th career dig in the first match of the day.

The Purple and Gold started the day with a four set win over the Griffins, handing them just their sixth loss of the season. The Hawks fell in the first set with a score of 25-20 before taking the next three with scores of 25-17, 25-23 and 25-20.
The Hawks hit .237 as
Qendrim Shala led the team with 14 kills, while
Matthew Zukowski posted 12 kills.
Alec Helford posted 43 assists as Muir led the defense with 25 digs.

The Hawks finished off the day with a win over the Cougars featuring scores of 25-19, 25-19 and 25-9.Â
The squad held Misericordia to a -.045 hitting percentage as
Daniel Dobrogowski posted five blocks in the win.
Blake Hogan tallied 11 kills and a .391 hitting percentage, while Muir registered 12 digs.
The team returns to action on Tuesday, April 3 when they host Lehman College at 6 p.m.
