New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer went to double overtime on Saturday afternoon against York College, finishing the game with a tied score of 1-1.
The Hawks are now 2-5-1 overall this season, while the Cardinals have a record of 1-6-1.
Hunter got a goal early on as
Jordan Camacho crossed the ball from the right side of the field to find
Blaise Enama, who sunk the ball into the back of the goal.
The Purple an Gold held off the Cardinals from scoring for the rest of the half, to lead 1-0 at halftime.
Just 12 minutes into the second period York was able to tie up the score. Despite several chances from Hunter, they were unable to take the lead in the remaining minutes, sending the game into overtime. Neither team converted on shots over the next 20 minutes to settle with a final score of 1-1.
Hunter recorded 22 shots to York's eight in the game, as Enama led the team with nine shots total.Â
The team returns to the field on September 26 when they face Brooklyn College.
