Men's Soccer Takes Down CCNY

New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's soccer improved to 3-1 in the CUNYAC on Saturday after defeating The City College of New York with a score of 3-1.

The Beavers dropped to 2-4 in the conference with the loss.

Jesus Patino Muniz got the first goal for the Purple and Gold when he found the back of the net just ten minutes into play. Neither team would score in the remaining minutes of the half to go into halftime with a 1-0 score.

Hunter struck again in the second half at the 52:52 minute mark when freshman Mikael Malka-Young got his first goal of his career. Blaise Enama was credited with the assist as the Hawks led 2-0.

Enama then found a goal of his own about ten minutes later to give Hunter a commanding 3-0 advantage. CCNY managed to get on the board in the final 10 minutes, converting off a penalty kick to make the final score 3-1.

The Hawks return to action on October 16 when they travel to John Jay College.
