Jamaica, N.Y. - Hunter College women's tennis continued their conference winning streak on Wednesday when they got a victory over York College, 8-1.
The Hawks are now 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the CUNYAC, while the Cardinals are now 0-3 this season.
Hunter won all three doubles matches as
Zaara Afida and
Anna Baylosis got an 8-1 victory at the #1 court. The team of
Maryna Bohdanovska and
Marcia Postrygacz got a win at #2, while
Monika Zaboklicki and
Adina Noble found an 8-0 win at #3.
Singles was led by Bohdanovska's win at the #2 spot with scores of 6-0, 6-1. She was followed by
Anna Baylosis, Postrygacz, Noble and
Mia Slovak, who each posted victories at their respective courts.
The Hawks will look to keep the streak alive on Saturday when they travel to Baruch College.
