New York, N.Y. - Hunter College men's basketball dropped a conference game to the College of Staten Island on Tuesday night, falling to the Dolphins with a score of 79-52.
With the loss, the Hawks drop to 5-17 and 3-10 in CUNYAC play, while the Dolphins improved to 11-3 in the league.Â
The Purple and Gold trailed for the entire game, falling behind by as much as 21 points in the first half. The Hawks managed to cut the lead to single digits in the second, making the score 53-46 with 7:46 to play. CSI went back up in the remaining minutes, eventually get the 79-52 win.
George Keener led the Hawks with 18 points, recording eight rebounds and going a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
Abraham Rosow posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
The team returns to action on Thursday, February 7 when they travel to Baruch College for an 8 p.m. game.
