Bronx, N.Y. - Hunter College softball won its fourth-straight CUNYAC game on Monday, sweeping Lehman College in a doubleheader with scores of 11-0 and 9-4.
The Hawks improved to 16-9 overall this season and are now 9-1 in conference play.
Hunter started the day with a shut out of the Lightning as
Caroline Bibula got the victory from the circle. Bibula also led the Purple and Gold at bat, going 3-4 and posting four RBI's in the win.
Allyson Bricker posted three hits for the Hawks, while
Gianna Raimondi,
Kayla Pilotti and
Samantha Molloy had two hits each.
The Hawks defeated Lehman in the second game with a score of 9-4, scoring all nine runs in the first four innings.
Nicole Guzzone got the win at pitcher for her third victory of the season.
Brittney Salvador and
Colleen McCoy earned a team-high two hits each for the Hawks, with McCoy registering three RBI's.
Dilailah Gomez had a big hit for Hunter in the fourth, singling to left field to allow two runners to score.
The Hawks return to action on Wednesday, April 24 when they host Baruch College and celebrate Senior Day.
