Union, N.J. - Hunter College men's soccer fell in a 7-3 contest on Wednesday to Kean University, finding two goals towards the end of the game.
The Hawks are now 1-4-1 overall this season, while Kean improved to 4-2.
The Cougars got on the board just seven minutes into the game to go up 1-0. Kean took complete control of the game when they scored three goals in a span of five minutes in the first half, but Hunter's
Josh Ilyadzhanov managed to record his first career goal before the end of the half to get the Hawks in the game.
The Cougars continued to dominate in the second half when they tallied three more goals for a 7-1 lead with 20 minutes left to play. At the 83 minute mark,
Jordan Camacho found
Regis Enama off a free kick, who headed the ball into the back of the net.
Jesus Patino Muniz finished it off for the Purple and Gold by beating the goalkeeper one v. one for Hunter's third and last goal. Enama was credited with the assist as the Hawks fell 7-3.
Noah Dougherty and
Antony Simos split time in goal for the Hawks, recording three and seven saves, respectively.
The team returns to action on Saturday, September 14 when they travel to Farmingdale State.
