New York- Captain Blaise Enama of the Hunter College men's soccer team netted a pair of goals against conference opponent City College of New York at Randall's Island on Saturday afternoon. The duplet was not enough as the Hawks ultimately fell, 3-2.

The Beavers (4-5, 4-1 CUNYAC) were the first on the board, netting the lone goal of the first half in just the sixth minute of play. Hunter (3-9, 3-3 CUNYAC) was relentless, putting up seven shots as it trailed but was unsuccessful as the first period came and went. 

CCNY tacked on another point, soon after the second half got underway, in the 47th minute. The Beavers continued their attack with another goal in the 71st leaving Hunter in a three goal deficit with less than 20 minutes to play. 

Not giving up, Blaise Enama exploded scoring two goals almost exactly a minute apart. The captain netted his first in the 76th minute off of a corner kick by Daniel Pesantes, following it up with a solo shot in the 77th. Down 3-2, Pesantes had an attempt on goal to tie up the game in the 87th but the Beavers' keeper saved it as the match closed out with a Hunter loss. 

The Hawks returns to the pitch on October 20 to host John Jay College in a CUNYAC competition at 3 p.m. on Randall's Island.
