Westfield, Mass.- The Hunter College women's basketball team dropped a non-conference decision to Westfield State on the road Saturday afternoon, 84-63.

After a slow start in the first quarter, the Hawks (4-11) came out strong to start the second, scoring the first eight points, including back-to-back three's from Nina Hennessy.

Although Hunter trailed for the remainder of play, the Hawks had three athletes score in double-digits, led by Maya Thompson with 14. The graduate student also grabbed eight rebounds and had a duo of blocks and a pair of steals for the day. Hennessy and Kimberly Lau each logged 12 points a piece, with Hennessy knocking down a season-high four three's.

Each member of the team scored in the out of conference competition, the squad also forced 21 turnovers with 12 steals and five blocks.

The Hawks return to the court on Jan. 25 as they resume CUNYAC play on the road against Lehman College at 5:00 p.m.
