Men's Soccer Falls to Baruch

New York, N.Y.- The Hunter College men's soccer team fell to CUNYAC opponent, Baruch on the road on Saturday with a 2-0 loss.

The Hawks now sit at 5-7 overall, and 2-2 in conference play. 

Despite Baruch getting on the board in the 17th minute of play, Hunter logged five shots in the first half alone. Early in the second half. Hunter logged a pair of shots of goal, starting with Ahmed Abukar and then Bradley Espejo who followed Abukar's shot. Despite the Purple and Gold's attempts, Baruch netted its second and final shot of the day in the 66th minute to seal the win.

Hunter utilized its depth in the conference matchup as all Hawks were able to log time on the pitch. Keeper, Antony Simos, logged five saves in the loss.

Overall, the Hawks were outshot 11-7 by their rival but edged their opponent with six corner kicks in comparison to the Bearcats' four.

Hunter returns to the field on Wed. Oct. 12 to continue conference play as they host Medgar Evers at 2:30 pm
