Despite 29 team kills, the Purple and Gold kept it close for just one set but ultimately were blanked, 25-16, 25-23 and 25-13. Hunter continues to search for their first win as they drop to 0-4 on the year.

In the first, St. Joseph's had a total of 16 unanswered points which forced Hunter to play from behind from the get-go. They put in a late 5-1 run of their own, but the Golden Eagles quickly chalked up their first set victory after the scoreboard read 25-16. In the second, Hunter played catch-up until Kim book ended a 5-0 Hunter run with kills, resulting in a 17-17 tie. They managed to slip into a four-point hole but showed resiliency by clawing their way back to within one at 24-23. However, the Golden Eagles' Mark Williams shut the door on a comeback with a kill to go up 2-0.
Mid-way through the final set, a 6-0 St. Joseph's run proved to be crippling, setting Hunter back by 12. The deficit proved to be too much to overcome as the visitors cruised to the end and took the 3-0 match victory.
Hunter will get back in action on Tuesday, February 22nd when they host Kean University at 6pm.
