Jakic Double-Double Not Enough to Lift Men's Basketball Over Baruch

New York, N.Y. - Despite his eighth double-double of the season, 16 points and 10 rebounds from Luka Jakic was not enough to secure a win on Thursday for Hunter College as they fell 112-95 to Baruch College.

The Hawks have now lost both matchups against the Bearcats this season, as they fall to 5-6 in CUNYAC action and 9-11 overall.

Baruch set a new scoring record inside the ARC Arena, as 112 points are the most scored by the men's team in regulation time. The Bearcats previous best was 111 points when they defeated Brooklyn College 111-69 on January 29, 2005.

Five different members of the home team reached double-figure scoring, with Adnan Bajrami leading the Bearcats with 21 points.

Jakic only scored six of his 16 points in the first half as the team shot under 35 percent from the field and just over 25 percent (5-for-19) from three-point range.

The only other Hawk in double-digits was Cormac Reilly, who finished with 13 after a 4-of-10 performance from the field and added four steals along the way.

Men's basketball returns to the Hunter Sportsplex for a Monday evening tip featuring St. Joseph's College at 7:00 p.m.
