Mahwah, NJ - The men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss earlier this afternoon to the Roadrunners of Ramapo College. In defeat, Hunter's record moves to 3-3 overall and remain at 1-2 in league action.
The duo of
Nicholas Caicedo and
Anil Singh were the only pair to come away with a win after defeating their opponents, James Jackson and Alex Dehner, 8-6 at third doubles.
Christopher Popovic and
Jairo Baquero Molina fell at top flight doubles, 8-3 while
Justin Pazmino and
Kenneth Del Cid lost 8-1.
Molina and Pazmino were defeated in #2 and #4 singles respectively by identical scores of 4-6 and 1-6. In two close matches, Caicedo played Matthew Doran to a 5-7 and 3-6 loss at #3 singles while
Raymond Len pushed his opponent to the brink but fell 5-7, 5-7 at #6 singles.
