Men's Soccer picks up second straight win

2-1 victory over St. Joseph's Brooklyn

New York, NY- In an away game that felt right at home, the Hunter College Men's Soccer team took a 2-1 victory over Skyline foe St. Joseph's Brooklyn at Randall's Islands' field 70 last night.  3:31 seconds into the game St. Joe's took a quick 1-0 lead with a goal early on.  But at the 40 minute mark Senior Regis Enama scored his first of the year off of a cross from Alejandro Sanchez.  Going into the half the game was tied at 1 a piece.

There was very little scoring opportunities early in the second half but in the 77th minute a tackle in the box led to a Yellow card and a Penalty Kick for Hunter.  Sophomore Bradley Espejo stepped up to the mark and put the eventual game winner in the back of the net,  It was Espejo's first of the year and the first PK for the Hawks this season.  Sophomore new comer Matthew Heimowitz took home the win in goal with 4 saves, facing 16 total shots.

Hunter returns to action at Randall's Island Field 70 on Saturday at 12 noon, vs SUNY Purchase
