Hunter was down 1-2 after doubles play, #1 doubles dropped a tie-breaker match 7-8 (7-4 tiebreak), and #3 doubles fought in a back and forth match dropping 6-8. In singles play Rakhmatdinova took home the first point leveling the match up 1-1 with a straight sets victory at #4 singles, 6-1, 7-5. Hunter than took the lead when #6 singles Junior
Nikhar Rathi, making her Hunter College debut, won 6-3, 6-4.
Famingdale bounced right back with wins at #3 singles and #1 singles to take a 4-3 lead. With the overall match on the line Catania once again stepped up and took home the #2 singles match with a 3 set victory 6-1, 2-6, 6-1, bringing the Hawks and Rams back to 4 a piece.
In the last match of the day
Anna Chapko, freshman from Brooklyn, NY took home the deciding point with a 7-5, 7-5 straight sets win in #5 singles.
