Brooklyn, NY- The Hunter College women's volleyball team traveled to Brooklyn for a non-confrence match up at Pratt Institute. The Hawks improved to 6-3 overall with a straight sets win, 25-22, 25-16, 25-12. In a very balanced team win, 9 Hawks registered a minimum of 1 kill, and 12 players registered for a point or more.
Freshman middle
Lily Mattison led the Hawks with 7 kills on 13 swings for a 308 hitting percentage on the night. Junior outside
Tionna Moss continued her consistent play by also picking up 7 kills for Hunter. Pacing the offense with 10 assists a piece were Junior setter
Kiara Abreu, and Freshman
Bethany Tomaneng. Abreu was also tied for the lead with 4 aces, Junior Libero
Nadia Lau not only led the defense with 13 digs, she also chipped in offensivly with 4 aces.
Hunter returns to action when they play on Thursday night September 29th against William Patterson, originally the game was to be held at Hunter college it has been moved to the campus of William Patterson and is slated for a 5pm first serve
