BOX SCORE Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Hunter College Women's Volleyball team started the 2022 season with win at Wilkes on Friday evening.  The Hawks took home a 3-0 win with a total team effort.  Taking hom the 3 set match 25-20, 25-21, and 25-15

New comer Tionna Moss led Hunter with 9 kills on 20 swings hitting 400.  Freshman setter Bethany Tomaneng paced the Hawks with 20 assists, 5 aces, and 6 digs.  The combination of Hunters starting middles Senior Mariam Ouattara and Freshman Lily Mattison each had 7 kills, hitting 600, and 429 respectfully.  From the back line the Hawks had 16 aces as a team, Tomaneng with 5, and Sophomore Mariapaz Lojano with 4 to led the team.

On the defensive side the Hawks had 10 blocks as a team and 31 digs, led by Sophomore Libero Erin Hyman picking up 7 digs.  Hunter returns to action on Tuesday night September 6th as they travel to Famingdale to take on the rams, first serve is at 7pm.
